Casey Nelson took a trailing pass on an odd man rush and beat B Devils goalie Mackenzie Blackwood to end it in extra time,
his second goal of the season giving the Americans the win and two points.
Rochester Zach Redmond opened the scoring 1 minute, 52 seconds into the game,
backhanding the puck past Blackwood glove to give assists to Sahir Gill and Evan Rodrigues.
The Devils answered with a shorthanded goal 11:36 into the first period as Bracken Kearns fed Blake Speers for a wrister that beat Rochester goalie Adam Wilcox.
Yaroslav Dyblenko first AHL goal came on a power play in the second period to put the Devils in front, 2 1. John Quenneville and Austin Cangelosi assisted the goal.
Speers then set up another shorthanded goal for Binghamton,
finding Kevin Rooney in front of a wide open net. Rooney third goal of the season gave the Devils a 3 1 lead heading into the third period, despite the Americans holding a 20 13 advantage in shots.
